For a short week, this one felt so long! I had the day off on Monday and mostly spent the time getting stuff done around the house.
As you may have seen in Instagram stories, Michael and I just booked a trip to Denver over the Thanksgiving weekend. With the holiday weekend so close and fares really rising, Denver was the best fit for our timeframe and wallet. We’ve never been to the Mile High City before – we’d love to hear your recommendations!

Other than panic-booking a flight, here’s what else I’ve been reading this week:
Travel
Away has released their collection of minis again this season. How cute are they? (P.S. If you’re curious which one I’d like to receive most under the tree, it’ll be the Beauty Set, please).
The New York Times seems to always release their “36 Hours” articles based on our future travel destinations. Case in point, “36 Hours in Denver” (unlocked article).
Here’s why flights get overbooked.

Alyssa provides four wine-pairing suggestions for Thanksgiving – all from Trader Joe’s and all under $10! [site shuttered]
I’ve been putting cardamom in everything as of late – ice cream, golden milk, on roasted veggies… Anyway, this cardamom cognac apple cake is calling my name to be baked next! Plus, wouldn’t this be a lovely alternative to a fussy latticed pie on Thanksgiving?
I’ve seen a lot of vegan options for Thanksgiving, but nothing like this vegan “ham.”
More about Thanksgiving (sorry, not sorry), David Lebovitz has a great roundup of Thanksgiving recipes, if you’re looking for more inspiration.

Life + Style
What are your thoughts on this new brand that offers luxury goods from the same manufacturers of designer goods? Edit: I tried and wrote about Italic here and here.
Period-panty brand THINX has a bright new product coming: Re.t.a
Only Child released a few new styles in limited fabrics this week – my pick? This gorgeous wrap dress. [site shuttered]
Everlane added quite a few shoe styles to their Choose What You Pay page, including the V Heels which I love so far, and the Day Heels which didn’t work for me but seem to work for everyone else!
Are fashion influencers the key to ending toxic fast fashion?
Things I bought this week
Just plane tickets! It feels so nice to have only purchased a flight this week. You know, as much as I’ve slowed down my consumption, I still feel that momentary rush when I buy something new. The main difference? That rush turns to a little bit of annoyance when the item arrives and I then need to find a place to house it. I think for a while I’m going to focus on that feeling when I’m considering adding something to my home. On the flip side, I made a few sales on Poshmark this week, and it feels so great to have an item leave my home. My mom finally got on board with downsizing her wardrobe this week, so I’ve spent a lot of time adding in her pieces as well. What platforms do you use to sell items that are no longer serving their purpose in your wardrobe?
Have a great weekend!
