So today I thought I’d do a roundup of new and new-ish Everlane items that have made their way into my home over the past month or two.
THE CURVY WAY-HIGH JEAN
The Curvy Way-High Jean℅ Color | Archroma Rich Earth Size | 28 Material | 98% Organic Cotton, 2% Elastane Also wearing | Eyelet Puff Sleeve Top℅ | Heels*
After finding such great success with The Curvy 90s Cheeky Jean, I knew I had to try The Curvy Way-High Jean℅. I haven’t worn colored denim since oh, 2014 probably, but the pair in Archroma Rich Earth felt like an approachable way to dip my toe back into the trend (side note, how on earth are these trends cycling around so fast?).
The jeans accentuate my curves a bit more than the Curvy 90s Cheeky Jean thanks to the stretch and to the fact I sized down to my waist measurement (the size chart suggests taking a size up from your waist measurement, but I decided to ignore that suggestion and I’m glad I did).
The 27-½” inseam is like a full-length pant on me, and I love it. The color and fabric give off a slightly rugged vibe, and it’s fun to lean into that feeling with complementary items or to play with other contrasting shapes and fabrics.

THE JAPANESE GOWEAVE SLIP DRESS
The Japanese GoWeave Slip Dress℅ Color | Black Size | 6 (top) and 4 (bottom) Material | Shell: 100% Triacetate, Lining: 100% Polyester. Also wearing | Necklace
Since I own two other Everlane products in their Japanese GoWeave fabric (The Japanese GoWeave Essential Jumpsuit and The Japanese GoWeave Tank Wrap Dress), I thought I’d give The Japanese GoWeave Slip Dress℅ a try.
As a 90s kid, this cut is exactly what I thought a cool, sophisticated (and *whispers* sexy) woman should wear back in the day – and I still feel that way today. I started with my usual size 6, but it felt a bit too loose and revealing in the chest. Swapping for the size 4 got me closer to the right fit, but I’m still on the fence about keeping it as the bra situation is tricky (sizing down again to a 2 would likely make it too tight in the hips).
Normally that would be enough for me to send something back, but because the dress is so fun to layer it’s tempting me to just cut the tags. I envision layering a white tee underneath for a full 90s revival (a plaid shirt around the waist is optional) or topping with my favorite button-down or cardigan. The jury’s still out, though. Le sigh.

THE EYELET PUFF SLEEVE TOP
The Eyelet Puff Sleeve Top℅ Color | Black (no longer available) Size | Small Material | 100% Cotton Also wearing | The Curvy Way-High Jean℅ | Heels* | Earrings*
The Eyelet Puff Sleeve Top℅ is decidedly more delicate than the rest of my wardrobe – but by choosing it in black it feels a bit more me. Lately, I’ve been enjoying toeing the line between daring and darling, and this top shows just the right amount of skin without feeling too revealing.
The elastic hem gives it a puffy shape (helpful for going braless – I find that it’s easy enough to hide my black bra straps though), and you can leave it as-is or roll the band up one to take down some of the volume. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this top hits right at the waistband of Everlane’s Way High bottoms – together they’re a perfect pair.

THE WAY-HIGH SHORT
The Way-High Short℅ Color | Ash Brown Size | 6 Material | 97% Cotton, 3% Elastane Also wearing | The Clean Silk Short-Sleeve Square Shirt℅ | Sandals℅ | Sunglasses
Yes, another Way-High item – I just can’t get enough, apparently. This is The Way-High Short℅ in Ash Brown, size 6. Honestly, I’ve struggled with shorts all of my life (I spent most of my teenage years in Bermuda shorts, while all of the other girls were testing the school dress code to see how short of an inseam they could get away with).
My legs are far from my greatest asset, and I still rarely bare them unless the mercury is high enough that I have no other choice. I truly didn’t expect to feel so comfortable in a pair of shorts – the material is sturdy yet stretchy, and the slight A-line cut adds a nice bit of balance to my figure (the waist-nipping effect doesn’t hurt!).
The inseam is long enough that it doesn’t rise with each step, but overall the shorts don’t “read” as a super-long short. My two qualms? I love the appearance of the double button, but I’m slightly afraid of forgetting to fasten both buttons since none of my other bottoms have two buttons. Silly, I know – but the fear is real, okay? And they do tend to look pretty wrinkled in these photos, despite steaming before shooting…

THE A-LINE DENIM SHORT
The A-Line Denim Short℅ Color | Powder Blue Size | 28 Material | 100% Organic Cotton Also wearing | Tank
I really wanted to like The A-Line Denim Short℅. They look so damn good on others, and in theory, they should have worked for me as well. But something about the combination of the cut (flared, yes, but a bit more straight cut in the waist) and the fabric (100% cotton) made them not a good match for my curves.
The size 28 fit flawlessly in my hips and seat, but I could stuff my two fists in the waistband because there was so much room. Sadly I had to send these packing.

THE CLEAN SILK SHORT-SLEEVE SQUARE SHIRT
The Clean Silk Short-Sleeve Square Shirt℅ Color | Cocoa Brown Size | 2 Material | 100% Silk Also wearing | The Way-High Short℅ | Sandals℅ | Sunglasses
It’s really a shame that The Clean Silk Short-Sleeve Square Shirt℅ is currently unavailable in this colorway because it’s such a great color for a monochrome moment when paired with The Way-High Short and The Curvy Way-High Jean.
This shirt isn’t a newcomer to the Everlane site, but it’s new to my closet. I resisted the generously oversized cut for the longest time, but I finally caved for this warm brown color. I sized way down to a 2 (and could probably have sized down once more), and there’s still plenty of room to tie the tails or tuck them in. I don’t see myself ever wearing this top un-cinched – but I also know enough to never say never.

Love the earthy colors of the silk top and Way-High shorts together. I’ve tried the square silk shirt before and didn’t think much of the fit, but the way you tied it in the front is so cute!
Love the look of the denim shorts, but as someone with larger hips can 100% relate to how frustrating the extra space at the waist becomes…argh. They are so, so cute, though!
My favourite item is the “Cinnamon” silk shirt. It looks lovely on you!
The shorts were so close to being keepers! I feel like with alterations they could really be the perfect short.
I love the silk shirt, too! The color is just really fantastic, and I’m happy to say it’s back on the site!
